FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Each year, "future professionals" (students) and staff members at Paul Mitchell The School Dallas on Midway Road team up to "FUNraise" by donating their time, talent and energy to support a variety of charitable causes.
Winn Claybaugh, dean and co-founder of Paul Mitchell Schools, will kick off the national Paul Mitchell campaign February 1st with cross-country conference calls for the entire network.
More than 13,500 students and staff members from 100 Paul Mitchell Schools will listen in as Leeza Gibbons, Betty White, Dolly Parton, Donny and Marie Osmond, Fran Drescher and Paul Mitchell co-owners John Paul Dejoria and Angus Mitchell introduce this year's sponsored organizations: Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Andrew Gomez Dream Foundation, Food 4 Africa, Fran Drescher's Cancer Schmancer Foundation and newcomers Dolly Parton's Imagination Library and Morris Animal Foundation, represented by Betty White.
After the national conference call Paul Mitchell Dallas will also take the day for brainstorming ways to raise money to meet their fundraising goal.
Claybaugh said, "People in need are not just those who line up at the soup kitchen on Thanksgiving Day. At Paul Mitchell Schools, giving back is an ongoing attitude about how we do business."
This year one of the Dallas FUNraising events will be a Hair Show open to the community on February 19th. The Hair Show is a chance for future professionals to get on stage and show off their talents.
With grassroots, dollar-by-dollar events like cut-a-thons, fashion shows, bake sales and "Casual for a Cause' days, last year Dallas raised $60,354 to help build homes for needy families; feed hungry kids; and support victims of AIDS, cancer, homelessness, hurricanes, abuse & more.
